Mumbai, Maharashtra: Amol Kale, the President of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, in New York City at the age of 47. Kale suffered a cardiac arrest while attending the India vs. Pakistan T20 World Cup match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.

Kale, who was also a former BJP ward president, had been at the helm of the MCA since 2021. He was a close aide of Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and had traveled to the United States to watch the cricket match along with MCA Secretary Ajinkya Nikam.

The news of Kale's sudden demise has shocked the Mumbai cricket fraternity and beyond. Kale was known as a passionate and dedicated administrator who had always worked tirelessly to promote cricket in Mumbai and across the country.

The MCA has expressed its deepest condolences to Kale's family and friends. The association has also announced that Kale's funeral will be held in Mumbai on Tuesday, June 11th. The entire cricket community is mourning the loss of a true leader and mourns the demise of Amol Kale, who leaves behind a legacy of service and dedication to the sport he loved.
